I feel like maybe this is a game that all the teams can pull together on to push things further because everyone cares so much about the Star Wars movies and games. So this is really being used to usher in the next generation of LEGO games. Is this a celebration of that history, as well? Todd Elhart: Game box art started out as illustrations of something that you half imagined, since the early 8-bit games were so crude in their graphics.
But now game box art has come to represent the actual experience of the game more and more as the graphics have come so far in the last couple of console generations. But then we try to take that further by revealing the man behind the mask. The game has all the features of the first two games, however, there are also some new features added such as co-op, and customisable characters. It also included an online co-op mode and new challenges.
The Lego games franchise is fast becoming famous for it's easy to play, fun for all the family style. The gameplay consists mostly of platforming and action sequences, but it is broken up by puzzle solving sections.
None of these areas are particularly challenging as the game is designed for family play. All six episodes in the Star Wars saga are represented in the game and are broken up into six levels each.
Death holds no real consequence as your character merely breaks into pieces, only to be reformed instantly, with no loss of life. However, when you die, you lose studs, and this can be a detriment to your progress toward the "True Jedi" status meter filling up. There are also several unlockables to be gained by collecting studs currency in the Lego Star Wars universe , which can be used to by characters, hints, cheats and many other things.
There is also a massive number of playable characters available in the game which can be unlocked by playing through the story mode or purchased.
