Well, in this world of sky pirates and bizarre flying machines comes the rumor of a floating castle in the sky. And, of course, our intrepid heroes are bent on finding it and unlocking its secrets. The film has amazing animation, a unique style and is very engaging. While kids will enjoy it immensely, unlike some Miyazaki films, I really think that in some cases adults might like this even more than kids.
Good stuff well worth a look. I cannot begin to describe how much I love this film. I love Studio Ghibli, and Castle in the Sky is one of my absolute favourites from them. It has a highly imaginative story for starters, every bit as imaginative as Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind's. Once again, the animation is magnificent, as is the haunting and poignant music score. The dialogue and pacing are fine too, and the characters are never devoid of their likability and are wonderfully voiced by a top notch voice cast.
Castle in the Sky is an absolutely beautiful film, but it is also quite haunting helped enormously by the music and visuals. It is an amazing and I think unforgettable film, one of the best animes, perhaps even animated movies I have seen. Sheeta with her crystal manages to escape from pirate Captain Dola and her sons.
She falls out of the airship and ends up floating to the ground where she is rescued by young Pazu. Pazu and his community struggles to make a living in the mine. He is obsessed with finding the lost floating city of Laputa. His late father found it once but was ridiculed for it. With pirates and government agents after her, they have to rediscover the power of her crystal and the lost Castle in the Sky. This world is imaginative. The story is a bit muddled.
Madani and Russo continue to mix business with pleasure. Lewis stands up for his rights. Lewis struggles with the ramifications of his actions. Frank and Micro pursue another face from the past. Madani and Sam go bug hunting.
Russo opens up to Madani about his past, Sarah shares her concerns about her son with Frank, and a decoy operation takes a turn.
Following a deadly explosion, Karen lands in a bomber's crosshairs -- and Frank isn't happy about it. Meanwhile, Curtis makes a grisly discovery. An attack on a high-profile politician is examined and reexamined through different perspectives. Madani faces a painful truth. As danger knocks on Sarah's door, Frank takes his quest for vengeance to the next level with some help from an unexpected ally.
Frank makes a damning confession. A shootout leaves Sarah wondering what to believe. Rawlins goes in for the kill, once and for all. As the authorities close in, an exhausted but unbroken Frank vows to put an end to the war that has consumed his life.
While driving through Michigan, Frank stops for a beer at a roadside bar. But staying out of trouble has never been his strong suit. Frank and a reluctant Rachel go on the run as a menacing adversary gives chase. Meanwhile, Madani pays Russo an unwelcome visit.
