OK - anyone getting hung up on loading files we were specifically stuck on these same audio dat files - switched to safe mode option with network access - downloaded all files with no problems - restarted PC - successful log in. Took four days, 12 hours and the help of HP customer service but we finally had a successful log in - just in time to go to bed LOL!

Ex: antivirus, dropbox, onedrive, etc. I understand they can only advise a few things, but each one has failed and they eventually give up and say to contact Microsoft. Thanks for your feedback!
